I’ve been in contact with a couple of breeders about dogs.  I should call the one over in Muskegon back, but I’ve got a female Irish Setter coming from Sunny’s breeder.  He did have a male pup available when I first called, but he was just priced out of my range right now.  He called me back a few days later and offered me this female that is just too timid to field trial.  He just wanted to get his money for shots back on her, so I told him I’d take her.  He thinks that my home will be really good for her.  I am to spay her, which sounds like a good idea to me.  So Tuesday I will be heading down to the northeast side of Chicago to get an eleven month old girl.  She has hunted, she has been on birds, so I am hoping that she will continue to hunt for me.

I’ve got Sunny’s cremains back now.  David gave me two paw impressions.  I wasn’t expecting that.  It is neat to have those.  Now to find where I want to place those.  I guess it means I should clean off my dresser and make some room for him there.

I can’t wait to get this girl.  It will be a long trip, and I am hoping that the weather cooperates with me.  But I’ll have me another Brophy.  Then in a little while after this, I hope to get another Brophy boy, and hopefully get back into field trialing.
